Soma serves as the Chief Legal Officer of Lorne Park Capital Partners and the Chief Compliance Officer of Bellwether Investment Management Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Lorne Park. She is a seasoned legal and compliance executive with over 20 years of experience across wealth management, asset management, and private equity. She brings deep expertise in securities regulation, corporate governance, risk management, and compliance program design to the firm.

Prior to joining Lorne Park, Soma served as Managing Director, General Counsel, and Chief Compliance Officer at Onex Canada Asset Management Inc., where she led legal and compliance functions for the firm's wealth management platform. Earlier in her career, she held senior roles at Richardson Wealth and Citco, where she provided strategic counsel across investment management, fund administration, and financial services.

Soma holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law and a Masters in Molecular Genetics from the University of Guelph. She has been recognized as a finalist for the 2024 Canadian General Counsel Awards (McCarthy Tétrault Innovation Award), the 2024 Canadian Law Awards (Female Trailblazer of the Year) and the 2024 Women in Law Leadership Awards Ontario (Individual Leadership), reflecting her dedication to excellence and innovation in the legal profession.

Soma has previously served on the Board of Directors of North York Aquatic Club and Health Outreach and as Chair of School Council at her daughter’s high school. She is a passionate advocate for women in STEM and engineering and believes deeply in the power of mentorship. She brings that same commitment to building inclusive, high-performing teams.

In her personal time, Soma enjoys travelling, cooking, and teaching her dog new tricks!
